Inaugural CASH for CATS Bash Raises $120,000 for Duluth Cluster Schools

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support the inaugural CASH for CATS Bash! It was an evening to remember with business leaders, political figures, parents, alumni, teachers, administrators and community members all coming together in support of Duluth High School Athletics and the Duluth Cluster Schools Foundation.

The mission of the Foundation (DCSF) is to unite all members of the community to benefit the Duluth Cluster Schools as they Challenge All To Succeed (CATS) in academics, arts, and athletics. Their purpose is to raise funds to bridge the gap between state funding and the resources required to support excellence. The foundation is dedicated to ensuring the success of all students in the Duluth Cluster, and fosters communication between the schools and the community.

They certainly succeeded in their mission with the CASH for CATS Bash! The fundraising goal was $100,000 and they exceeded that by an additional $20,000. Many thanks go out to the spectacular sponsors, auction item donors, in kind sponsors, food donors and ‘Friends of Duluth’ families that made the evening such a success. It was powerful to see the community come together in such a meaningful way, and it could not have been done without the sponsors and donors.

A special shout-out to retiring state representative Brooks Coleman for serving as the honorary chairman and host, as well as the entire Foundation committee that worked countless hours to put this event together. The funds raised directly benefit the Duluth High School Athletic Program, and the seven Duluth Cluster Schools through grants provided by the Duluth Cluster Schools Foundation.
